WHAT HAIR TYPES CAN USE SHAZ & KIKS?
All hair types and textures! Our ingredients and formulas are universally beneficial and created for all scalp and hair. Please check out each product page that has more detail on which scalp and hair needs best suit each S&K product.
HOW LONG WILL MY PRODUCTS LAST?
Most of our products have a shelf life of 2 to 3 years before opening. Once opened, we recommend using them within 6 months.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU USE?
Our formulas have a high percentage of plant ingredients that are natural proven alternatives to many synthetic and chemical ingredients, that have harmful side effects. Most of our ingredients are rooted in Ayurvedic science, the world's oldest healing system, and are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, fatty acids, and minerals along with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties needed for healthy hair. In addition, some plant-derived ingredients help our products stay bacteria-free and functioning properly (you don’t want to use a product that’s falling apart!). There is nothing harmful to you or the environment in any of our products. We have also not altered the look or smell of it.
WHERE ARE THEY MADE?
Our raw ingredients are sourced primarily from Indian suppliers and farmers, and our products are formulated and manufactured in the USA.
DO YOU TEST ON ANIMALS?
Never ever! Everything is tested on Shaz & Kiku.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN?
Yup, all of our products are vegan.
CAN I USE YOUR PRODUCTS IF I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN/SCALP?
Our products are full of anti-inflammatory oils and antioxidants that make it safe for a sensitive scalp. But with introducing any new product, we recommend you patch-test the products first. ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE TO USE ON COLORED AND/OR TREATED (KERATIN) HAIR?
All of our products are safe for colored and/or treated hair with no sulfates and parabens. They will not strip your beautiful color or disrupt any treatments.
HOW CLEAN ARE YOUR FORMULAS?
Our products are free of sulfates (SLS/SLES), silicones, parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, synthetic dyes & fragrances.
ARE THE PRODUCTS PREGNANCY SAFE?
Yes. While we did not test our products on pregnant women, all of our products are free from any harmful ingredients. We recommend consulting with your doctor before introducing any new products or ingredients into your routine while pregnant or breastfeeding.
HOW ABOUT FRAGRANCE?
Like we said above, there are no synthetic fragrances in our products—commonly labeled as ‘parfum’ or ‘fragrance’. Each product celebrates the natural aromas of the herbs, oils, and flowers that make up the formula.
WHAT IS A SCALP+HAIR PREWASH?
The Scalp+Hair Prewash is the first product created by SHAZ & KIKS and its main goal is to provide the first step in a healthy scalp and hair using nutrition from Ayurvedic herbs, oils, and flowers. It delivers a superdose of essential nutrients to the hair follicles to help stimulate healthy hair growth. It balances the scalp's pH and oil production, which are the most important factors of a healthy scalp. And it strengthens and nourishes the hair strands while protecting them from everyday damage.

Sustainability
IS YOUR PACKAGING RECYCLABLE?
Our shipper box and the outer tube are 100% recyclable cardboard.
Our brochures and inserts that come with each order are made out of 100% recyclable paper and can be 100% recyclable.
All of our jars are 100% PCR — post-consumer recycled plastic. We repurpose plastic waste to create all of our jars.
Our other packaging components are primarily made with glass or type 5 plastic, the most common type of plastic to recycle.
HOW DO YOU SOURCE YOUR INGREDIENTS?
Majority of our raw ingredients are sourced from Indian suppliers and farmers. We select plant ingredients that are native to that region and therefore have a low water footprint, and low pesticide and fertilizer usage, which make them gentle to grow on our planet.
They are also reliable agricultural products for farming communities helping them with their livelihood. Most all of our plant ingredients are durable, multi-use, and have short harvest cycles.
HOW ARE YOU CARING FOR OUR PLANET?
We have a number of near-term and longer-term initiatives in the works:
We are plastic-neutral. In 2021, we launched a partnership with CleanHub to collect and recover 1lb of plastic for every 1lb of used in the products we sell. We work Green Worms Waste Management, a social enterprise based in Kerala, India that was founded on three core principles: minimize waste generation, divert the waste from landfills & oceans, and dignify people working with waste. The collection is run by primarily by women.

WHERE DO YOU CURRENTLY SHIP?
We ship to the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, and Canada.
WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING RATES AND OPTIONS?
U.S. Shipping
· Flat shipping fee of $5 USD for orders below $30 USD*.
· Flat shipping fee of $7 USD for orders between $31 USD and $64 USD*.
· Free shipping for orders over $65 USD.
· Express Shipping option (1-2 days) for any order at a flat rate of $15 USD.
*Please note that Alaska and Hawaii shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
Canada Shipping
· Flat fee shipping of $20 CAD for all purchases.
Please note that Canada duties and taxes are not included in the shipping fee. It will be the responsibility of the customer to pay these duties and fees, if any, when the order arrives.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PRODUCT TO ARRIVE?
All orders leave our warehouse 1-2 days from when you make your purchases. For most of the continental U.S., packages are delivered within 3-5 business days once they are shipped. For Canada, packages are delivered within 7 days. However, there are always variabilities with shipping carriers. Keep an eye out for shipping and tracking information in your email.
IS SHIPPING PROTECTION AVAILABLE FOR MY PACKAGE?
We have partnered with LABL Shipping Protection for orders that may be lost, stolen or damaged while in transit. This is a great option to cover your order, for as little as $1.50. This is an optional service that is added automatically at checkout. If you opt into this service and your order is lost, stolen or damaged, you may submit a claim here.
Please note that if you have not opted into this service, SHAZ & KIKS will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged orders while in transit.
Returns
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY?
We want you to love our products as much as we do, but we get that sometimes things don’t work out. If you’re not completely satisfied with your new items, please reach out to hi@shazandkiks.com and we will gladly accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Once your return request is submitted, you will have 10 days to ship the item(s) back to our warehouse.
Returns are eligible as long as they are new/unopened or gently used. Please note that original shipping costs will not be refunded and a $7 USD restocking/disposal fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Items purchased outside of SHAZANDKIKS.com are not eligible for a return with us. Please contact the original store's customer service team for support.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you would like to cancel your order, please email hi@shazandkiks.com and we'll do our best to cancel your order if it has not been processed. Once an order has been fulfilled, changes or cancellations cannot be made.
