Will this shampoo lather since it's primarily made out of clay and no water?

Yes! It is formulated with a coconut-derived surfactant (lathering ingredient). Make sure your hands and hair are wet, take a scoop, rub the cleanser between your palms, and it will turn into lather.

How frequently should I use this shampoo?

That depends on your scalp and strand type. If you have an oilier scalp, with fine, thin hair, you can use it 4-5x/week as your regular shampoo. If you have a drier scalp with thicker waves and curls, use it 1x/week as a detox shampoo.
